Boy, Ayushmann Khurrana has come a long way. From starting out in MTV Roadies to becoming the only Indian actor to feature in #Time100 this year, the actor has achieved what very few have in the Hindi film industry. But that’s not all – Khurrana is also turning out to be the blue-eyed boy for brands. According to a Duff & Phelps report, Khurrana’s brand value in 2019 was $40.3 million and despite brands tightening their purse strings this year, the actor is on his way to becoming India’s favourite endorser.

According to a report in Business Insider, over the course of the lockdown, the Article 15 actor has managed to bag endorsement deals from marquee brands such as JSW India, Nestle, Toyota, Bajaj Allianz, Sprite, The Man Company and UNICEF.

Now, we hear that Ayushmann Khurrana is teaming up with his Article 15 director, Anubhav Sinha, once again. The duo is set to collaborate on a film called Anek which will be a political drama and the actor will play a character called Joshua.

The actor shared a picture of the movie clapboard on his Instagram account. As Joshua, Ayushmann Khuranna will sport a beard, ruffled hair and a cut eyebrow. “Excited to be collaborating with Anubhav Sinha sir. Again. #ANEK. Here’s presenting my look as Joshua produced by @anubhavsinhaa and #BhushanKumar (sic),” he captioned the post.

India Today reports that Anek is Anubhav Sinha’s most expensive film till date. The makers of the movie have also planned an extensive shoot schedule in the North East. Sinha has previously given us critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies like Mulk, Article 15 and Thappad.

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the few Bollywood actors who has consistently delivered good performances. Almost all his movies have a message attached to it and they are roles that would make other actors balk. It is no wonder then that Article 15 actor has been named among the world’s 100 most influential people by Time Magazine.

As an artiste, I have only looked to contribute towards bringing a positive change in society through cinema and this moment is a huge validation of my belief system and my journey.
