In a now-deleted Instagram post, Grande’s attempt to tribute her latest single, ‘7 Rings’ in Japanese backfired. Instead, her newest tattoo turned out to be an ode to ‘a small charcoal grill.’

 

Soon after displaying the newest tat to the world, her fans flooded her comments section, trying to explain the Sweetener singer that tattoo translates to ‘shichirin’ which means a small charcoal grill. After the debacle unfolded, the singer was nonchalant about the error writing, “Pls leave me and my tambourine grill alone. thank u.”

Previously, Grande has been slammed for using Asian culture for aesthetic purposes, but that did not stop the 25-year-old pop-star for getting a tattoo in Japanese. Grande’s hit single ‘7 Rings’ a song from her upcoming album ‘Thank U, Next’ has garnered more than 100 million views on YouTube. And, it has also debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
