The Kapil Sharma Show host – Kapil Sharma – is known to be a casual flirt. Be it any actress, the host never leaves a chance to compliment them. Sometimes, the female stars take it in stride, while the other times, Sharma gets it back from them. Something very similar happened when Anek star, Andrea Kevichusa, came on the sets of the talk show.

Kevichusa, who made her Bollywood debut with the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer film, graced Sharma’s show with the rest of the cast. While greeting the newbie, the talk show host said, “I am from Punjab. Mu mein na naam phas raha hain. Can I just call you beautiful? (Your name is getting stuck in my mouth, can I just call you beautiful.”

The actress made sure she schooled Sharma for this comment and told him to address her by her first name. “I think Andrea is just appropriate,” she replied. Sharma was instantly taken aback and decided to keep quiet.

But this did not leave a sour note between them. When Archana Puran Singh later asked her if she knows Kapil Sharma. She revealed that Sharma’s show is one of the most popular shows in the country. “Of course I know him! His show is the most famous show in India,” she replied. Sharma immediately then quipped, “Dhanyavaad humari izzat rakhne ke liye (Thank you for the respect)”.

Talking about her debut in Anek, Andrea Kevichusa once told The Morung Express, “After having received the script, I was very happy to find that my character in the film was one that I could explore extensively, skill-wise. She is an independent character that very much embodies an empowered strong female-lead and I am delighted to have played her.”

Anek released in theatres on May 27, 2022. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film got mixed reactions from the audience. The film tanked at the box office.
