This week, Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari paid Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan a visit — hoping to champion the cause of road safety. The photo op, however, has been generating interest for much stranger reasons.
Posted on Gadkari’s official Twitter account, a tweet stated that he met the actor to seek support for the Indian National Road Safety Mission. The photographs showcased Gadkari, clad in a pink kurta while greeting the senior actor at his Juhu, Mumbai residence — although one image stood out to a user titled @foodpornament.
Couldn’t spot it? Take another look:
What appears to be a simple class photograph is actually a series of children lined up… with their heads replaced by various incarnations of Big B himself. Given that Bachchan has over 250 acting credits, this interesting piece covers what ought to be a mere 28% of his entire filmography — and lies right between fascinating and freaky.
Seriously, this is the most distracting thing I have ever seen hung on a wall. Maybe Abhishek’s reaction tells the story best.
Jokes aside, Bachchan senior likely received the altered image as a fanart offering from one of his many admirers, who have been sending him tributes for the better part of a century. Bachchan also regularly shares fanart on his social media. Even his profile image and background are edited — although a bit dated, for sure.
Still, none of these examples hold a candle to what might be the most distracting wall decoration in history. I guess in the end, Big B is his own biggest fan — and that’s saying a lot.
