The famous annual Diwali party hosted by actor Amitabh Bachchan and family will not be taking place this year. According to Mumbai Mirror, media mogul Ekta Kapoor has also decided to follow suit.
The newspaper stated that the Bachchans and Kapoor decided against hosting the party keeping the pandemic in mind and also because of the loss of actor Rishi Kapoor. Kapoor was a close friend of Bachchan and was almost like family to him. Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Nanda is married to Rishi’s nephew Nikhil Nanda.
This year, the film industry also witnessed the death of another great, Irrfan Khan.
Bachchan and the current reigning Queen of the Hindi film industry, Deepika Padukone have been voted the most trusted celebrities in India, according to a report that was released earlier this week.
