The much-talked-about Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial has now become more about Aquaman 2 than the other accusations. This is thanks to Amber Heard’s witness, Kathryn Arnold, who testified against Depp and revealed how Jason Momoa helped the actress keep her role in the sequel. Things were going well, until Arnold did something that is considered sacrilege in the movie world— dropping spoilers. Read on at your own risk.
While trying to describe how Heard’s career has been affected due to the ongoing case Arnold reportedly narrated a part of the plot of Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom. She told that Heard’s character Mera gets injured in the film and hinted that she might be shown pregnant.
Talking about the early script, she said, “I believe that in the first act of the movie, she was injured somehow, or it had something to do with a baby. Mera ends up in the hospital early in this new Aquaman 2 movie and doesn’t really come out until the end to kind of wrap things up. All the interactions with Momoa’s character, and certainly the action scenes, were taken out.”
She added that she has not read the script but is narrating it on the basis of what Heard had told her. She even blurted that the actress has quite a few action scenes in the movie.
“Amber trained 5 hours a day for several months with the trainer to do this big action sequence. So her role was radically reduced from what it was in the script and what she even trained for while preparing for the movie,” she testified.
Last week, Amber Heard has alleged that Warner Bros is looking to cut her role entirely in the second installment of the superhero movie. “I had to fight too. I fought really hard to stay in the movie. They didn’t want to include me in the film,” said the actress on the stand of the Virginia courtroom while crying inconsolably.
Talking more about the film, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will return in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom essaying their roles as Orm or Ocean Master, King Nereus, and Black Manta respectively. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick also returns as the scriptwriter for the sequel.
