Amber Heard's Plea To Start Another Trial Against Depp Rejected
Is The Never-Ending Heard vs Depp Saga Finally Coming To An End?

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp is living his life to the fullest

After a weeks-long trial packed with grilling cross-examination, Amber Heard moved the court to file another case. She and her team of lawyers believed that the verdict, which was tilting in favour of her ex-husband, Johnny Depp , was unfair. Her plea, however, has been set aside with a judge rejecting it.

Heard’s lawyers requested Judge Penney Azcarate to revoke the court’s judgement awarding $10 million to Depp and declare a mistrial, claiming that one of the seven jurors was replaced. They stated that instead of the individual originally summoned for jury service, it was their son who appeared in court and called it a case of mistaken identity.

Azcarate denied the request saying that no evidence indicates that the verdict was not just. “There is no evidence of fraud or wrongdoing,” she said, and the juror “met the statutory requirements for service.” The lawyer continued, “The juror was vetted, sat for the entire jury, deliberated, and reached a verdict.”

Heard’s lawyers also claimed that the amount that she is liable to pay Depp is excessive, but the latter’s legal team dismissed the appeal. Ben Chew, the actor’s layer, referred to the incident, calling it “what we expected, just longer, no more substantive.” The new appeal came a month after the final verdict in the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard case.

Netizens haven’t held back from chiming in with many suggesting that Heard is raking up the issue again because she wants to avoid paying the amount promised to Depp. Here’s what people are discussing:
