After the dramatic end to a three-week-long defamation case, Amber Heard quickly decided to keep herself away from the limelight. Any comments on the case or Johnny Depp kept coming from her representatives. Until now, when she finally stepped out to talk about her relationship and the way it ended. She previously talked about how Depp’s win was biased, and now she discussed how she still loves him ever after everything that happened.
During a conversation with NBC News‘ Savannah Guthrie, Heard admitted, “I love him (Johnny Depp). I loved him with all my heart. And I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work and I couldn’t.” She added how she still fears potentially being sued again by Depp.
“I have no bad feelings or ill will towards him at all. I know that might be hard to understand or it might be really easy to understand if you’ve just ever loved anyone… It should be easy,” she continued.
She went on to talk about the global humiliation she had to face because of the court case filed by Depp . She told Guthrie, “I’m not a good victim, I get it. I’m not a likeable victim, I’m not a perfect victim. But when I testified I asked the jury to see me and hear his own words which is a promise to do this, it seems as though he has.” She admitted that now she is nervous about what she can and cannot say now. “Of course. I took for granted what I assumed was my right to speak,” Heard added.
“I am scared that no matter what I do, no matter what I say or how I say it, every step that I take will present another opportunity for silencing, which I guess is what a defamation lawsuit is meant to do; to take your voice,” the actress added talking about her ex-husband.
Amber Heard, however, is now trying to move on. She has Aquaman 2 coming up, which was also a huge part of the discussion during the trial. Heard now also wants to focus on being a full-time mother to her one-year-old daughter.
