If you were to read the gossip rags and entertainment portals last month, you’d get the impression that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was directing three films at once. It started with reports hinting that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were coming together for a film with the acclaimed director.
Then, there were reports that SLB was planning on making a Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam 2 with Salman Khan. Then, of course, there were whispers that claimed that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan would be seen together in the film.
Only the second rumour mentioned above turned out to hold some water. Actress Alia Bhatt has confirmed on her Instagram profile that she will be starring opposite Salman Khan in Bhansali’s next. The film will be called Inshallah.
“I was nine when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It’s been a long wait,” she wrote.
“Dream with your eyes wide open they say and I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together and I can’t wait to join them on this beautiful journey called Inshallah,” she added.
This will Bhatt’s first film with both Bhansali and Khan. The actress is also starring in Kalank opposite Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan and Sanjay Dutt and in the Ayan Mukerji directed Brahmastra opposite beau Ranbir Kapoor.
