Earlier, speculations about Bell Bottom opting for an OTT release were making round. The makers of the film have finally had then quashed these rumours, saying that ‘nobody other than Pooja Entertainment has the mandate to make any statements with regards to any development with the film.’
An excerpt from the statement read, “Nobody other than Pooja Entertainment has the mandate to make any statements with regards to any development with the film. We would like to request the media to support us as you always have and refrain from publishing any information that is not officially communicated by us. Stay safe and mask up. Our prayers with one and all.”
Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom is a spy thriller set in the 80s where the audience will get to see the actor play the lead role of a RAW agent. The film also features Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles. Directed by Ranjit Tiwari, the film is backed by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani. Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani are co-producing the movie.
As for Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, the film has been struggling to make it to the big screen for the longest time now. The film that was supposed to hit the theatres in early 2020, has been getting postponed due to different reasons every time. After waiting for the lockdown restrictions to ease down a little bit, the makers had finally decided to release the film in theatres on April 30, 2021, but with the rising Covid cases, there has been a change in plans once again.
