Drishyam 2 has been one of the most anticipated sequels of 2022. And well, Ajay Devgn took to his social media and dropped a teaser of the upcoming movie today. The cast also features Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor, and Tabu in the sequel. This thriller film’s first installment was released in 2015, after which the audience was left wondering about what happens next. The movie is scheduled for release on November 18, 2022.  

Shortly after the teaser release, reactions began flooding social media, and here’s what people are saying about it: 

Drishyam 2 is a remake of a popular Malayalam film, which goes by the same name, starring superstar Mohanlal in the lead. While the first part was a commercial success, the forthcoming release’s fate at the BO is yet to be revealed. The promotion of the movie started off with poster releases. The first poster displays a family holding a shovel and CD in their hands. While the second one shows them eating a meal together. Devgn even posted a picture of a few old bills to keep the buzz high.  

It seems like an interesting year for Devgn as he will also be seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan I. In an interview, the filmmaker revealed that he’s also narrated the story in its Hindi version.  

Everything We Know About The Movie So Far  

Coming back to Drishyam 2; Devgn plays a cable operator, who lives with his wife and two daughters. He is a dedicated family man in every sense of the word. However, the narrative takes an untoward turn after his daughter accidentally kills a boy, and he disposes of the body. To keep the gory act hidden, the family takes a trip to Panaji to create an alibi. The date holds a special significance in the film, and a volley of fans are looking also forward to Akshaye Khanna’s surprise act in the movie.
