Aamir Khan To Play Lord Krishna In Seven-Part Mahabharata Web Series?

This will be . . . epic

To all the Aamir Khan fans who were left mighty disappointed by Thugs of Hindostan, we’ve got some (good?) news for you – the 53-year-old actor’s next project could very well be based on the Mahabharata. With its longest version comprising of around 100,000 śloka, the Mahabharata is famously described as the longest poem ever written. According to a report in Indiatimes, the budget for this adventurous project is a whopping ₹1000 crore and it is being bankrolled by Mukesh Ambani.

A source also told Bollywood Hungama that this will be a seven-part web series and that Khan is all set to play Lord Krishna. Keeping with international projects, the series will also have a different director for each episode, the report further elaborated.

According to Filmfare, the actor will soon be flying to America to ideate on the project and recruit the core team and cast.
