Today marks the day when we all went into a lockdown last year and even after 12 months of it, situations are still as bad as they were before. A lot many people are getting affected by the virus, including Bollywood stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, to name a few. Now, the latest buzz is actor Aamir Khan has contracted the virus.

Khan’s spokesperson issued a statement confirming the news on March 24. He added that the actor is under home isolation, and taking all precautionary measures required. “Mr Aamir Khan has tested positive for COVID-19. He is at home in self-quarantine, following all the protocols, and he’s doing fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern,” stated the spokesperson.
Apart from this, Khan headlined the news earlier this month when he announced that he is quitting social media. Opening up about the same at the premiere of his friend Amin Hajee’s film, Koi Jaane Na, he revealed, “Do not put your theories about that. Main apni dhunki mein rehta hoon (I live in my own world). I am anyway not active on social media, I don’t post anything.” He was even spotted hanging out with his kids, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan, at a cafe in Bandra a couple of days ago.

Work wise, Khan was last seen in Thugs Of Hindostan. Post the failure of this film, Khan took a supposed sabbatical and started working on Laal Singh Chaddha. The film is the official Hindi remake of Forrest Gump where we will get to see the actor step into the shoes of Tom Hank’s role. The film also reunites Khan with his 3 Idiots’ co-stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh. Laal Singh Chaddha was scheduled to hit the theatres on Christmas last year, but with the current situation, the release date has been shifted indefinitely.
