Another Harry Potter theme part is set to open and this time, it’s none other than Tokyo, Japan. Warner Bros. has finalised a deal to build the theme park on the site of Toshimaen amusement park in suburban Tokyo, reported by Variety.
A brand-new theme park will be open to the fans by 2023. Similar to the The Making of Harry Potter exhibition at Warner Bros Studio Tour London, it will feature film sets, costumes and props from the movie franchise based on the books.
The fans will also be able to step into life-size re-creations of some of the film’s most famous locations including Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Privet Drive and Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Unlike London’s version of the Harry Potter tour, however, Tokyo’s will also include the franchise’s ongoing Fantastic Beasts spin-off.
To enjoy the entire studio, fans will need almost half a day to fully explore, and will be accessible via a 15-minute train ride from downtown Tokyo’s Ikebukuro Station.
