Trust Vikas Bahl to make you cry happy tears every time he tells you a story. After giving the audience films like Queen and Super 30, the filmmaker is back with another slice-of-life story of a dysfunctional family and their ups and downs. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. The trailer was unveiled a few hours ago with the star cast in presence, and has been showered with a lot of love already.
The story is yet another narrative you’d find around some corner in your house. The family is planning a funeral for the mother (Neena Gupta), and the two generations – one being Bachchan’s and the other being that of Mandanna’s – have different ideas of how to proceed with it. While Bachchan wants to carry on with the customs, the Pushpa actress is questioning all his beliefs.
The trailer is packed with emotions, with the secondary characters adding more depth to the plot. Pavail Gulati, best known for his role in films like Thappad, plays the elder son. TV actor Sahil Mehta will be seen as the younger son. The two are pretty unbothered by the fact that their mother has died. The youngest son is Abhishekh Khan, who found fame with his young role as Nusrat in Bard of Blood. He is also briefly spotted in the trailer, leaving you intrigued as to what his role might look like. Sunil Grover adds the humor while Elli AvrRam adds the glam quotient to this very entertaining trailer. A lot is expected from this bunch of promising actors.
The thoroughly emotional trailer was warmly welcomed by fans. A Twitter user wrote, “Such a beautiful trailer, heart-warming/moral values been shown and focused on generation gap and thinking of a young generation. Seems lovely family drama movie. Waiting for it…” The positive response has only added more value to the film.
