Recently, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson helped out Fox Soccer over Twitter by answering a sports-related question they had.

In a match between Sporting Kansas City and Seattle Sounders, Tim Melia of the former took down Cristian Roldan in an impressive move as they tussled for the ball in the box. The move left Fox wandering what it was named and the people’s champion had the answer.

In the 54th minute of the game between Sporting KC and the Sounders, Melia and Roldan collided as the two battled for a ball headed into the air.

After jumping into one another, the two continued to battle for position, with Melia putting his arm around Roldan and slamming him into the ground.

The former wrestler also made an assumption that turned out to be partially correct when he thought “there was a card delivered in the red color palette.”

Melia was given a yellow card for the foul, with the Professional Referee Organization, which oversees MLS officiating, saying that the incident “did not rise to violent conduct due to the lack of brutality.”

This is not the first time the players have resorted to wrestling on the field.

Most recently, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba “lay the smackdown” on Everton’s Yerry Mina at Old Trafford. During the 1-1 draw, he ended up throwing the Colombian to the floor in odd fashion.

The Rock is not known to be a particularly massive football fan but, funnily enough, has supported Macclesfield Town ever since he was assigned allegiance to the Silkmen when on Soccer AM in 2008.
