Madhuri Dixit’s Maja Ma is out on Amazon Prime Video. It is a story of a woman named Pallavi Patel, who belongs to a middle-class family but is well-known for her dancing and culinary skills. However, in an unusual twist, a rumor starts doing the rounds– and is potent enough to destroy her family. What’s more, everything occurs on the day of her son’s engagement. 

Directed by Anand Tiwari, the cast includes names like Gajraj Rao, Barkha Singh, Malhar Thakar, Sheeba Chaddha, and Ritwik Bhowmick.

In an interview, Rao said that working with Dixit was an experience he’d cherish for a lifetime. “My heart skipped a beat. It was like a dream come true to play a significant role opposite the legend of Madhuri Dixit. The shoot was being planned during Covid. I was scared and didn’t know whether I would be able to go for the shoot or not. But working with her is so important so I said, ‘Bhaad mein jaaye Covid. Jokes apart, we took all the precautions while shooting. Amazon Prime Video had their safety protocols,” he said, further adding, “Main mugdh tha!  It was unbelievable for a moment that I was sharing screen space with Madhuri Dixit and she would be saying dialogues with me. I had never thought of it. A lot of credit goes to her for being so down to earth despite being such a successful actress.”
