5 Things To Expect From The Sanjay Dutt Biopic

Dutt’s had a rollercoaster of a life, and we’re sure it’ll be great material for fantastic drama.

If there’s one movie we just cannot wait for, it’s Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt starring Ranbir Kapoor. Dutt’s had a rollercoaster of a life, and we’re sure it’ll be great material for fantastic drama. While the movie still has a long time to go before its release, we take a look at some things we would like to see in it.

Dutt’s relationship with his father Sunil Dutt

We saw the pair play father-son in Munnabhai MBBS, but it’ll be interesting to see what their relationship was like outside the reel life. Was Sunil Dutt a strict father? Or did he allow him to indulge in all the wealth that being a Hindi film hero brings?

His role in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts

Dutt was convicted for possession of arms, but has denied any involvement in the bomb blasts. We would like to know how it was for him when so many people were pointing fingers at him despite his non-involvement.

Sanjay Dutt and Drugs

Dutt once claimed in an interview that there is no drug that he hasn’t done. He was a big alcoholic too. It’ll be interesting to see how he developed the drug habit and how difficult it must have been for him to quit.

Dutt as an actor in Vaastav

One of the best performances of his career, we would definitely like to see how Sanjay Dutt managed to pull this role off with finesse. The accent, the body language and the dialogue delivery – Dutt ticked every box while portraying the role of a Mumbai gangster.

Dutt in jail

Despite being an influential celebrity, Dutt had to spend a lot of time in jail. It will be interesting to see how someone from an extremely rich family survived the jail life. It must have been difficult for him to adjust to the food, the sleeping conditions, etc. Struggle that would make for excellent cinema.
