5 South Indian Actresses Who Should Act More Often In Bollywood Films

They can set screens on fire with their charm and their oomph factor.

A lot of South Indian actresses have made their foray into Bollywood, like Asin and Tamannah. Recently, we heard that Pooja Hegde has signed a film with Prabhas, and that got us thinking about how much talent the film industries down south possesses. We take a look at some actresses who can definitely set screens on fire if they act in Bollywood films.

Anushka Shetty

Anushka Shetty is a veteran in the South Indian film industry and you must have seen her in Baahubali. Even though she is 37, she still looks like a million bucks and can pull off a role in a mainstream Hindi film with panache.

Samantha Prabhu

“I am not too keen on making a Bollywood debut so soon. In fact, it is not priority. Right now I am happy here as I love the roles that are being written for me. Moreover, I am a south Indian, born and brought in Chennai,” she was quoted as saying by TOI. Well, Samantha, we’d love to see you

Trisha

Trisha has starred in several successful Tamil and Telugu films, and even won the South Filmfare award for Best Actress. She has already made her Bollywood debut with Khatta Meetha, but we think she deserves a better film than that.

Nithya Menen

Not only does she act well, she has got a voice of a nightingale as well (and a smile that can slay many souls in one go). Among her major achievements are winning two South Filmfare awards for Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde.

Nayanthara

Nayanthara has got a massive following down south, and if she acts in a Bollywood movie, her fanbase is only going to grow stronger. She acts in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films and has won awards in each language. That said, a majority of her filmography consists of Tamil films.
