Two geniuses, Piero Masi and Steven Spurrier, have come together to create some of the most iconic blends of wine and this fantastic idea was conceptualized right here in India at the Fratelli Vineyards in Akluj, Maharashtra.
Steven, with his immense passion for wines, and Piero with his expertise in wine making, thought it would be interesting to work together and develop some blends that have never been produced in India, which led to the creation of the M/S White (80% Chardonnay & 20% Sauvignon Blanc) and the M/S Red (60% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Franc and 20% Shiraz).
M/S WHITE
80% Chardonnay & 20% Sauvignon Blanc
A stroke of two geniuses, this wine is skillfully crafted by the two internationally acclaimed wine maestros and is a blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc and you can expect a light floral and fruity aroma and flavour.
M/S RED
60% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Franc & 20% Shiraz
This is a combination of Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Nimgaon and Syrah with a great blend of the natural ripeness and tannins, for a fruity and a savory finish.
The vineyards are spread over three sites – Motewadi, Nimgaon & Garwad and are planted with 12 grape varieties with a trench line of 330km with 350,000 saplings. The wine is processed at the fully pre-engineered, temperature controlled, galvilium 40,000 sq. ft. pillar-less winery, comprising 58 multi-capacity tanks, imported from Velo, Italy, with state-of-the-art plant and machinery.
