If you are one of those few people who haven’t seen the video for the Dhadak title track yet – congratulations on having a job. For the rest of you, we hope you eventually find something worthwhile to do with your time. Nevertheless, here’s a summary of how the video goes: a super adorable Ishaan Khattar runs after a gorgeous Janhvi Kapoor, they smile at each other, play Holi, giggle, she feeds him, they flirt in some amazingly instagrammable locales and fin. The setting is so Dharma and we love it. In fact, the material available to us in this 3.35-minute video could be fodder for at least three advertisements for three different organisations.
Bournvita/Horlicks/Complan
From the moment Janhvi’s “pappi? Matlab kutte ka chhota baccha” dialogue ends and Ajay Gogavale begins to serenade us with his dulcet tones, we see Ishaan Khattar running. He runs behind Janhvi’s jeep and then he runs behind her in a very Dharma-esque palace setting with coloured powder in his hands.
Not one to be left behind, Janhvi joins him this marathon and we really wish we could get a share of their energy drink because the duo looks super happy with all this workout. The effortlessness with which they sprint, stumble and sprint again is legit #goals. Ishaan is a Complan boy if we’ve ever seen one.
And why should boys have all the fun, right? We are soon greeted with a scene of Janhvi playing badminton with Ishaan being all supportive on the sidelines.
Rajasthan tourism
In the trailer for the movie, the lyrics of a song go ‘padhado mhadi country mhade’ or something along those lines. And after viewing the video for the title track, there is no way that people won’t be tempted to book their tickets for a vacay in Rajasthan. The extravagant sets are such a vibe.
Thank God for Dharma Productions, honestly. Where else would we find people practising classical dance forms amidst ancient palaces and temple settings? Oh, and that boat ride? Such. A. Mood.
Airtel/Vodafone
There’s this one super aesthetic scene in the video for the Dhadak title track where the young couple giggles over the phone throughout the evening. No call drops for this relationship! We almost expect one of those ambassadors for Airtel or Vodafone to turn up and let us know that we can now avail of an offer that allows us to talk to our loved ones for only ₹0.25 per minute.
