One quick look through his social media is enough to explain the reason behind Sonu Sood’s well-toned and sculpted body. The actor is always seen hitting the gym and has been an advocate of healthy diet, even when he’s traveling. For his upcoming movie, Fateh, set to be released this month, the actor plays an ex-special ops officer and therefore, fitness was of prime importance for him to prepare for his character. From pulling off pull-ups to nailing outdoor runs, here’s all that the actor does for well-toned abs and muscles. 

 

Pay Special Attention to Toning the Arms 

If Sood’s fitness routine is to be followed religiously, one thing is for sure that you cannot miss the arm’s day. From push-ups and pull-ups to using the bar to work on biceps and triceps, his workout routine focuses on toning and strengthening arm muscles. Well, the size of his arm clearly shows that. 

 

Never Miss the Core Day 

Well-defined and toned abs is something all of us desire for. Taking inspiration from Sood, every day at the gym must consist of exercises for the core. The actor incorporates hanging leg and knee raises in his routine to strengthen those abs and keep them well-defined and sculpted. Of course, there’s a reason he doesn’t mind taking his shirt off in his movies. 

 

Go for a Run

Even if you are unable to hit the gym on somedays or are traveling, make sure to go for a run outdoors. A quick run is the best cardio that works on the whole body while strengthening leg muscles and burning calories. Take inspiration from Sood, and take your pet along with you for extra motivation. 

 

A Set or Two of Pull-Ups

If the actor's routine is closely followed, one thing is for sure that he includes a couple of sets and few reps of pull-ups in his routine. While it's not an easy exercise to follow, you have to build your arm and overall body strength to be able to pull all your body weight up just by using the strength of your arms. Every workout video on Sood's feed shows him nailing pull-ups which is perhaps the reason for his well-toned arm muscles and core.

 

Mix Some Weights with Cardio

While cardio is important, you can only toned your muscles and lose weight once you start mixing cardio with weightlifting. Different exercises using weights can help tone the arms and core muscles, strengthen the back, hamstrings and legs, while focusing on a specific muscle with each exercise.

 

No Equipment, No Problem

Even if you don't have any equipments, make sure you complement your routine with push-ups, planks, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, etc to give your body an overall push for the day. Take inspiration from the actor to see how he nails an outdoor workout day without any equipment.
