The Indian cricket Team left everyone in tears of happiness as they brought a World Cup home after 13 years. The men in blue showcased undying team spirit and character, and served us with a performance that will be a core memory for every cricket lover. As the captain of the team, Rohit Sharma, ace player Virat Kohli, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and the coach of the team, Rahul Dravid made their last T20 tournament memorable, it was also the moment of praise and redemption for Hardik Pandya.  

While we loved his bowling spell in the last game against South Africa, what took everyone’s attention was Pandya’s Chin Patch moustache and netizens were quick to relate it with Kapil Dev’s 1983 World Cup look when India won the cup for the first time. Though we are still contemplating the connection between the two, it won’t be wrong to say that moustache was one of the most favoured looks this World Cup season. The moustache has surely made a massive comeback since legends like Clive Rice and Kapil Dev sported it.

Let’s start with the star player who got the job done in the last over in an unforgettable fashion. But apart from his performance, what also went viral was his look, especially the moustache. He took the audience by surprise with a clean-shaven look and a moustache, much like Kapil Dev’s ‘83 world cup look, a pleasant change from his full-face stubble.  

Travis Head  

After shaving off his trademark moustache last year, the destructive opener didn’t disappoint his fans with his look. The player of the ‘23 world cup, Head was back with his  fully-grown man moustache like a mark of heroism and proved it right with his performance in ODI World Cup 2023.

Marco Jansen 

The South African cricketer was the player to watch out for in the India-South Africa final on Saturday, 29th May. And didn't just match Hardik Pandya in terms of his performance, but also his moustache look. While it was a new look for Pandya, Jansen has been sporting one for a few months now. 

Anrich Nortje 

It’s not a new look for this South African bowler who sported it for the first time in 2022. However, moustaches became the look of the season this world cup and it was fun to see Nortje join the group. While South Africa couldn't make it across the finish line, the Proteas didn’t disappoint with their look. 

Lockie Ferguson 

Lachlan Hammond "Lockie" Ferguson is a fast bowler for the New Zealand cricket team who is equally skillful at modern style trends. His moustache matched the trend of the season. Ferguson confesses being Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan’s fan, with his moustache being a nod to the former Indian opener.
