Woven Leather From Ermenegildo Zegna
Woven Leather From Ermenegildo Zegna

The Italian luxury fashion house has come up with its newly patented leather construction, called Pelle Tessuta, or `woven leather’.

Translating ideas into icons, Ermenegildo Zegna is back with a timeless product that converts history into modernity while also staying true to its heritage.

Here’s introducing Ermenegildo Zegna’s Pelle Tessuta, a special woven nappa, which is the result of an innovative research, aimed to recreate precious fabric using extremely thin strips of nappa leather in place of fabric yarns.

Nappa strips of 1,6/1,7 mm width are placed on a special loom in a warp position and are interlaced with horizontal weft strips, replicating the traditional method of weaving cloth, to obtain the real fabric from leather.

The full-grain Nappa leather is known for being lightweight, smooth and pliable. This in turn provides the fabric its standout qualities, including softness, elasticity and shine. The collection is now available in an array of exclusive accessories, ranging from their iconic loafers to contemporary sneakers and extending to men’s wardrobe essentials such as the holdall, the business bag and the classic belt.

From boardroom meetings to casual outings, after-six events and idyllic holiday destinations, Zegna footwear and accessories meet the multifaceted needs of today’s modern gentleman.

Founded in Italy, Ermenegildo Zegna, the Italian luxury fashion house is the worldwide leader in the production of exceptional, highly innovative fabrics and leather accessories with their unique 360° approach.
