The clouds have almost rolled back into the sea and occasional spells of rain will eventually stop this October. Which can only mean it’s time you can actually wear something on your feet that doesn’t smell like a combination of a week old Subway sandwich and sugarcane juice.
The festive/wedding season is also right around corner so the young’uns aka the millennials will find newer ways to dress their festive menswear up, one of them being adding their whitest sneakers to the ensemble.
Now, knowing India, you know that it’s not quite ideal to wear white sneakers here on a daily basis. However, if it’s the season of looking great all the time in general, white sneakers are entitled to their fair share of visibility on your person. The trick to wear them lies in how good you salvage their purity. So, following is the only way to do it. Take notes, gents.
-If you’re going for an all-white look, find a shade of shoe laces that is close to the body of the sneakers. That way, the overall whiteness will give a richer look.
-Any sneaker stain can be fixed with a toothpaste and a toothbrush. Work that and it’ll be as good as new.
-Machine wash at least once in a month to get that deep cleansing effect.
-Don’t be rough with them when you’re outdoors, they are not hiking boots.
-And of course, wear socks. The length of it doesn’t matter.
