TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma

Marking a major milestone in the over 160-year history of the Swiss watch brand and watch industry at large, TAG Heuer introduced the new Carrera Plasma featuring lab-grown diamonds. “With the introduction of the TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma, we want to expand the possible palette and designs for diamond watches and diamonds in general, and create a new and breathtaking vision of mastering carbon and diamond design as well as cutting-edge light effects”, said Frédéric Arnault.

And what better collection than the Carrera to push the boundaries of innovation. What is lab grown diamonds? “Chemical vapour deposition (CVD) technology, which we refer to as ‘Diamant d’Avant-Garde’ at TAG Heuer, enables us to explore the versatility of carbon in the form of lab-grown diamonds – to create a stunning timepiece where diamonds are used in very unique shapes and textures.” said Edouard Mignon, Chief Innovation Officer, TAG Heuer & LVMH Watches & Jewelry Division.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma comes in a 44mm watch case made of sandblasted anodized aluminum set with Diamant d’AvantGarde lab-grown diamonds. TAG Heuer has joined forces with with Capsoul – a start-up pioneering the field of diamond design – to craft a spectacular crown at 3 o’clock, entirely executed in diamond. The polished ceramic bezel and the black DLC coated black pushers add a perfect contrast against the diamond-set case and dial.

The special polycrystalline diamond dial offers a radiant diamond effect that is created by putting together the crystals into a one-diamond morphology. At 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, the minute chronograph counter and the chronograph hours counter feature a black polycrystalline diamond plate and are equipped with a polished rhodium-plated hand to truly support the light interaction. Additionally, the 11 indexes in white gold and a double index at 12 o’clock combined with the rhodium-plated, matt black lacquer painted hour and minute hands works perfectly against the shimmering dial.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma is powered by the brand’s in-house Heuer 02 Chronogaph movement that clocks in a power reserve of 65 hours. The watch sticks to its black aesthetics and comes strapped to an elegant black leather strap.

TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition

Making a splash at the 2022 Watches and Wonders is TAG Heuer’s most awaited timepiece – the iconic Monaco made in partnership with Gulf. The collaboration results in the Monaco edition wearing the legendary colours and design of the Gulf brand and is, for the first time, equipped with the in-house movement Heuer 02.

Stunning in its aesthetics, the 2022 Monaco Guld Special Edition watch is based on the three iconic colours of Gulf including a special darl blue, turquioise and orange combination. The watch is crafted in a 39mm steel case set with an opaline sunray brushed dial. This beautiful dial is home to contrasting white chronograph counters with the minute counter at 3 o’ clock decorated with the three colours of the Gulf brand. The 12 o’clock index is replaced by the number “60” – polished and rhodium plated – as a nod to the racing number on the Porsche Gulf racing cars. Additional details include a special engraving on the caseback matching the Gulf orange pantone, a perforated blue calfskin strap with orange lining and finally a new packaging flaunting the Gulf colours.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition will be available starting from May 2022 and sold worldwide in the TAG Heuer boutiques and on the e-commerce website of the brand.

TAG Heuer Carrera X Porsche Limited Edition

Opening a new chapter in the strong partnership between TAG Heuer and Porsche is the creation of a bold and sporty timepiece – the  TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche Limited Edition. The watch is heavily based on the emblematic TAG Heuer Carrera Sport Chronograph. It is available in a 44mm Black DLC case set with black dial and a sprinkle of yellow colour. This special colour is incorporated in various elements of this creation, which is inspired by Porsche ‘s racing yellow PANTONE, reserved by the manufacturer for the sportiest of its vehicles. Other areas of the watch featuring the yellow colour is the Porsche logo on the bezel, the lacquer in the crown, the yellow stitching on the black calfskin strap. The black dial has a texture inspired by the metallic bodywork of cars with a slightly glittery effect.
