Actor and Friend of the Brand Vikrant Massey gifted the Longines HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games Watch to ace swimmer Sajan Prakash

‘Friend of the Brand’ actor Vikrant Massey and ace swimmer Sajan Prakash celebrated the launch of the Longines HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games Watch in India at The Imperial Hotel in Janpath, Delhi. The grand evening brought under one roof sophisticated watchmaking expertise and world-class design, in honour of the upcoming Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games that will start on July 28th, 2022.

 

 

Speaking on the launch of the limited-edition watches, Vikrant Massey, said, “I am elated to be a part of this elegant brand Longines and what makes this journey so special is the association kick-starting with its sports timing event – The Commonwealth Games. The brand known for its precision timing in the world’s major sporting events – one can’t ask for a better blend.”

 

 

During the event, Massey gifted the limited-edition timepiece to ace swimmer Sajan Prakash as a good luck gesture from the brand. He added, “I really wish Sajan Prakash all the very best and keep my fingers crossed that he gets us the medals with his spell at the Games. As any proud Indian, would love to see India at the top of the medal tally.”

The event also celebrated the relationship between Longines and the Commonwealth Games, which began with in 1962 in Perth, Australia.  The partnership continued with the 2014 edition in Glasgow (Scotland) and 2018 edition in Gold Coast (Australia). The year 2020 marked a new milestone for both the brands with the announcement of a historic partnership that will continue in 2022, 2026 and 2030 Games. As the official partner and timekeeper of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham (England), Longines unveiled a daring new limited-edition watch that celebrates one of the world’s greatest sporting events. 

 

 

Limited to just 2,022 pieces, the Longines HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games Watch is a bold timepiece. The vivid colours of the event logo is displayed on the black ceramic bezel as well as the minute-track on the sunray black dial. The watch is available in a 41mm steel case powered by an exclusive self-winding movement with a silicon balance-spring. Adding to the uniqueness of the watch is the engraved caseback featuring the Birmingham 2022 logo and “Limited Edition – 1 out of 2022”. A stainless-steel bracelet completes this timepiece.
