Italian Icons Come Together To Create ‘Tod’s For Ferrari’

Two of Italy’s best-known brands come together in an exclusive partnership to create a new range of the famous Gommino

Tod’s and Ferrari have always enjoyed a close relationship including a healthy admiration for each other’s quest for excellence. The luxury shoemaker’s legendary founder- chairman Diego Della Valle sits on the board of the sports car maker, while Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo sat on the  Tod’s board for many years. The gleaming shell of a Ferrari F1 car occupies a prominent position at Tod’s ultra-modern white marble headquarters in central Italy’s Marche hills, along with installations by artists like Jacob Hashimoto and Ron Arad.

So it is not surprising that these Italian icons have come together to create a unique `Tod’s for Ferrari’  shoe collection. Characterised by impeccable refinement and extreme versatility, this collection is a tribute to the  exquisite beauty and craftsmanship both their products personify.

Each  Tod’s for  Ferrari Gommino goes through 100 stages of meticulous workmanship in its production, ranging from hand cutting of the highest quality leather to the sewing of each piece,  while maintaining the hand-made tradition all along. Every Gommino features up to 35 different pieces of leather, handled and manually inspected by Tod’s artisan before being assembled. Only after the meticulous scrutiny of the product at every stage does the Gommino receive its coveted Tod’s for Ferrari logo.

It is due to this careful attention to detail, constant innovation, and a shared passion for excellence that Tod’s and Ferrari have become style emblems, serving as ambassadors for the world of Made in Italy.
