Saint Laurent has unveiled a new denim collection. Creative director Anthony Vaccarello launched a ’70s- inspired denim line featuring distressed jackets and reworked blazers that are timeless, modern, and nostalgic.

Introduced through a series of black-and-white images featuring Hailey Bieber, Sonny Hall, Megan Miles and Anok Yai, as well as  Romeo Beckham, the upcoming collection is comprised of jeans, outerwear, intimates and accessories.

Standout pieces from the collection include the destroyed jacket in the ’70s Blue Trash Denim, which comes with flap pockets and button tabs at the back hem. The five-pocket slim-fit pantaboots silhouette with an almond toe and slim stacked heel makes the perfect piece to pair with the jacket, creating denim on denim look. Add a bit of edge to your overall fit by showing off the statement Monogram Bra decorated in an all-over rhinestone YSL monogram pattern.

Recently, Saint Laurent revealed its Men’s Fall/Winter collection by utilising the power of dance. Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello made a dramatic showcase by making the models perform a choreography.

In a special video directed by Jean-Paule Goode, dancers are seen performing to Jimmy Forest’s Night Train. The makeup of the song is reminiscent of a marching band soundtrack. The dancers begin the video dancing in line before individually breaking off to show off their moves and their fits. The dancing ensemble adds a dramatic flair to the presentation that further emphasizes the 1980s inspiration for the collection.

It brought back primary colours in a different way. The knit sweaters comprised of checkered, horizontal and vertical stripe patterns are dressed in yellow, red, black and blue hues. The collection emphasises the bold designs and colours of the shirts while maintaining a sleek and neutral silhouette in its pants and suit tailoring. The accessories including scarves are finished with fringe detailing that draw from the era of the 1980s New York street dance and music scene. The French luxury fashion house is bringing back the slim-cut silhouette with its zip-up leather jacket, straight cut black denim and leather track pants.
