Comfort, definitely. Actually, it depends on the occasion.

I bought a really nice Gucci jacket.

I like round frames. My favourite new brand is Seventh Street – their styles are lightweight and suit everyone.

 

What brands or designers do you favour when shopping?

 

So many. I like DSquared2, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Diesel and Seventh Street.

 

How important are accessories for men’s dressing according to you?

 

It is important, especially when you can accessorise with eyewear, a nice watch or a wristband. Of course, we have limited options, but we can manage.

 

How would you describe the perfect suit?

 

Well-fitted, no matter what the brand is.

 

Do you have any fetishes such as shoes, watches, socks?

 

Yes, I love collecting shoes and eyewear.

 

What are the casual and formal items every man must own?

 

Denims, and if not a proper suit, then definitely some nice jackets.

 

How do you like to change things up for weddings and formal events?

 

I love what Anand Ahuja did for his wedding – wearing sneakers with traditional clothes. Like I mentioned, for me, fashion means comfort and what you believe in, so you should not really follow any conventional rules. Go with your gut feeling and do what you feel like.

 

What is your favourite shopping destination in India and abroad?

 

New Delhi, London and Paris.

 

What is one piece of style advice you would give all men?

 

Don’t follow anyone; just create your own style.
