Monsoon Style Guide: Must-Haves For Your Wardrobe

From trench coats to Kurtees, here are the must-haves for your monsoon wardrobe

Monsoon almost throws all sorts of seasonal damage together. Despite the humidity, clogged streets and traffic, we need to bring our best fashion game to the table.

Here is the perfect monsoon wardrobe to bring out your A-game.

A classic trench coat

The one staple item which should be a must-have in every wardrobe. You can just wear it over a basic tee and make a statement. It can be worn with ripped denim and sweaters.

Parkas

Monsoons can hamper our outdoor activities. During heavy rainfall, you need to wear parkas over your outfits as umbrellas cannot protect you completely.

Statement Umbrellas

Umbrellas are the basic necessity during the monsoons. However, a statement umbrella can jazz up your outfit.

Kurtees

There are those days when you feel like going for a full ethnic look with loose fabrics but also not wanting to get the monsoon dirt all over it. And there are days when a basic tee does the work, but it can be too basic. What if we told you there’s a combination of kurta and tee? Yes, it’s known as a Kurtee.

“I wanted to have a garment that would be as International as it is Indian and could be worn comfortably anywhere from NewDelhi to New York. Ultimately, I would also love to expand my customer base to include non-Indians. I am sure that they would love the comfort and fit and feel that we have been enjoying forever” says, Steven Jhangiani, founder and designer of Kurtees.
