Met Gala is one of the most extravagant and lavish evenings hosted on the first Monday of May every year to raise funds for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. Each year a specific theme is decided, and the guests are expected to choose their fashion accordingly. This year, the Met Gala was postponed to September thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
It’s been more than two years now since the 2019 Camp-themed Met Gala delivered one of the best red carpets of our age, bringing in sharp gender-fluid high fashion looks. This year, the theme is ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’: a celebration of American fashion, and with the current menswear trends moving towards a modern take on classic sportswear and tailoring, this naturally made for some massive menswear moments on the red carpet.
