Louis Vuitton has managed to pack sunset in bottle in its latest California Dream fragrance. Created by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, fresh unisex colognes have been added to the luxury brand’s portfolio, which were inspired by Californian sunsets.
“My starting point was to create warmth that envelops coolness,” said Belletrud. “There’s always the contrast of how to blend explosive freshness with softer notes that will allow the paradox to express itself fully on the skin.” Which, in this instance, means a lively blend of citrus and floral touches, with a base of masculine, traditional musk.
Keeping a touch with the previous releases like the Sun Song, Cactus Garden and Afternoon swim fragrances, California Dream has also enjoyed a creative artwork from the artist Alex Israel.
