Regarding timepieces, Louis Vuitton has two decades of watchmaking expertise under its belt. The brand has showcased a deep passion for watchmaking by developing and releasing many iconic timepieces. Of the many collections the brand has produced in the last 20 years, the Tambour line has been its most famous and legendary one. With its many iterations ranging from the Tambour Spin Time, the Tambour Slim Tourbillon, and the Tambour Curve in Carbostratum® with its Poinçon de Genève Flying Tourbillon, the collection has achieved an iconic status.
A few aspects of the Tambour line have enabled it to achieve this legendary status. Starting from the spacious case with its trunk-like details and patronymic 12 letters engraving, each part of the watch is unique.
As 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the Tambour Line, Louis Vuitton celebrates this particular year with the release of its limited edition Tambour Twenty timepiece. A collectable with an availability of 200 pieces only, this watch is deeply inspired by the first Tambour. It features a special 41.5mm trunk case in Monogram canvas that pays tribute to Louis Vuitton’s heritage. The brown sunray dial is home to yellow chronograph hands. It is powered by the LV277 high-frequency manufacture chronograph based on the iconic Zenith El Primero (the first automatic chronograph in the world). Adding a special something to this iconic movement is the Louis Vuitton customised 22K pink rotor.
That’s not all — in continuation of the anniversary celebration, the brand also announced Oscar-winning actor Bradley Cooper as its new House Ambassador. The actor’s debut campaign with Louis Vuitton celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Tambour watch. He is now the new face of the iconic Tambour wristwatch. For his first campaign, the A Star Is Born actor is seen in a particular campaign video directed by Oscar-winning film-maker Damien Chazelle and accompanying still images lensed by photographer Boo George, where he is wearing the 2022 Tambour Twenty.
