India Couture Week hosted its first digital fashion week. Organised by FDCI, the event featured famous designers including, Kunal Rawal, Shantanu and Nikhil, Amit Aggarwal, Gaurav Gupta and many more.
It started off with Gaurav Gupta’s “Name Is Love” collection, that was made up with refined embroideries and mystical motifs. The designer introduced full Bordeaux velvet suits, making it the perfect statement pieces for receptions and cocktails. We saw models in tuxedos, bandhgala and jackets in the shades of midnight blue, grey and wine red.
Kunal Rawal showcased his “Hide & Seek” collection explored a a creative voice that is personal yet creating drama through simplicity and attention to detailing. The collection featured deconstructed garments for the festive season. We saw bandhgalas and sherwanis with intricate detailing in ivory, beige, wine and peach tones.
Shantanu & Nikhil unveiled “The Resurgence” collection that is an ode to hope, it is the spirit to resurface and recommence our duties to the universe. Menswear pieces such as bandhgalas and jackets were adorned with sequins, embroideries that gave a festive vibe to the pieces.
