You couldn’t miss the Hyundai India Couture Week in association with Reliance Brands by FDCI if you tried. From a glitzy front row that saw a line-up of heavyweight influencers socialites, stylists and editors to the biggest celebrities — from Ranbir Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur to Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar — closing shows for designers, the big-ticket event in Delhi firmly established that wedding season is here, and Indian wear hasn’t looked more exciting. Here are our top menswear picks.

Rajesh Pratap Singh
The stalwart proved why he remains at the top of India’s fashion food chain with a potent combination of classic and edgy menswear — leather longline jackets paired with lungi and a white linen jacket and dhoti with a sheer inner — that you know no one else can imitate.

Tarun Tahiliani
The godfather of Indian fashion ensured that he had enough wedding finery for whatever kind of groom you are — from traditional, maharaja-esque sherwanis complete with a turban and jewellery to more fluid drapes.

Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna
No one does tailor couture better than Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. Only this time they took it a notch higher with embellished suits that you know are a sure-shot winner at a cocktail night. Just ask Ishaan Khattar whose brocade jacket was begging to be on the dance floor.

Shantnu & Nikhil
Straddling traditional craftsmanship and contemporary silhouettes, the designer duo arguably put out their best couture show ever. It probably had something to do with the Intricate embroidery and see-through tops that were set off by asymmetric pants —infusing the cool in couture.

Kunal Rawal
Forget that Ranbir Kapoor made his runway debut in a lungi-trouser and set the internet on fire. It was Rawal’s inimitable menswear that we’ll be talking about for a long time. Embroidered sherwanis in wearable black and ivory that aren’t loud but still announce you as the coolest guy in the room.
