It’s time to welcome these statement pieces into your wardrobe

Remember wearing graphic, printed tees — emblazoned with favourite rockstars and bands — during our rebel/teenage years? Fast-forward to now, and the trend seems to be back, albeit in an evolved completely avatar.

From Timothee Chalamet wearing a head-to-toe printed suit on the red carpet to Ranveer Singh sporting bold printed shirts and trousers, it’s time to welcome these statement pieces into your wardrobe. Take cues from these celebrities and learn how you can own the trend, too.

Harry Styles

Styles is not new to the world of prints. The singer has been known for pulling off looks consisting of various types of fabrics, prints and silhouettes. For one of the outfits at his ‘Love On Tour’ shows, Styles went for a printed overall from Gucci, paired with a crisp white tee and sneakers.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh has never shied from experimenting — the actor has pulled off everything, literally. For Jayeshbhai Jordaar’s promotions, he went for a co-ord featuring an ice-cream cone print, splashed across the garment in pastel colours. To complete the look, he it with paired pink sunglasses and a subtle neck chain.

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor’s recent Instagram post shows him wearing a loud, printed shirt featuring a tiger and Hindi typography. A statement look, which is easy to pair with everyday basics like trousers, and denim, or be worn as a layering piece.

Ayushmann Khurrana

For Anek promotions, Ayushmann Khurrana was seen in a water-coloured bomber jacket from Erised Couture in military tones. He paired it with loose trousers and chunky sneakers, to complete the look. Watercolour prints are a new addition to the graphic section and they’re easy to wear if the colours are matched smartly.

Travis Scott

Travis Scott wore a printed sleeveless sweater vest in his recent Instagram post. Sweaters and knits are a perfect way to wear all sorts of prints. From cartoon characters to multi-coloured patterns, it is a great canvas to experiment with prints. Ugly Christmas sweater and the polka dot print, are some classic examples from this banner.

Rajkummar Rao

Rajkummar Rao was spotted in an elephant-printed shirt during a film promotion. He wore a shirt from Khanijo, and combined it with black wide trousers and white sneakers. This shirt can be easily worn with white linen shorts with sliders for a casual, day look.
