When we hear the word ‘Rocket Man’, the first name that pops up in our head is, of course, Elton John. So it’s only fair that his biopic is named after this iconic song.
For those of you who have been living under a rock, Elton John is an English singer and songwriter and has recorded more than 30 albums with many singles hits like ‘ Rocketman’, ‘Levon’, ‘Honkey Cat’, ‘Crocodile Rock’, to name a few.
Even at 72, he is just as relevant and charming as ever. In his biopic, Taron Eagerton will be seen depicting his role and showing his fantastical journey to the world. The outfits sported by him in the movie will be designed by Gucci. Elton John has always been obsessed with Alessandro Michele’s work and creativity while Michele also claims to have great admiration for the singer. Their appreciation for each other’s work will finally pay off as we will see the designer dress movie costumes for Taron.
The biopic was recently premiered at the Cannes film festival and John turned up in an all Gucci ensemble. He wore a custom Gucci pastel blue two-button notch lapel suit with ‘Rocketman’ and floral embroidery detail on the front. He paired that up with white leather platform Ace sneakers with crystals and Web detail and pastel blue acetate cat-eye sunglasses.
The singer also inspired the two recently launched models of Gucci sunglasses as he is known for his eccentric eyewear. The eyewear celebrates his enchanting personality as it resonates with his lavish wardrobe.
Rocketman is an epic musical fantasy about the life-inspiring story of Elton John’s breakthrough years. The film portrays his journey from shy piano prodigy Reginald Dwight into international superstar Elton John.
