The house movement was thinner than a Swiss five-franc coin, and its design had to incorporate several solutions to reduce the overall thickness. In 2016, the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater was unveiled, which was the smallest in the market – the in-house developed and produced BVL Calibre 362 was just 3.12 mm thick, and the overall case thickness was 6.85 mm. In 2017, the Octo Finissimo Automatic was launched, which was the slimmest ultra-thin self-winding watch in the market to date, at just 5.15 mm, while its self-winding movement was just 2.23 mm thick for a 40 mm diameter. The year 2018 saw the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic, which was a mere 3.95 mm thick.

This year, another world record has been garnered by the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic, which is the thinnest ever mechanical chronograph in watchmaking history, at 3.3 mm. With a manufactured integrated movement that displays the classical chronograph functions, the watch is the emblem of Bulgari expertise. It also features a GMT function that allows one to set the local time with a button at 9h. The home time is indicated on the sub counter at 3h; graduated on 24 hours, it indicates day or night. The chronograph minutes counter is positioned at 6h, while the small seconds counter is at 9h. This watch rewinds automatically, thanks to its peripheral mass. The 42 mm titanium case is 6.9 mm thick and has a sandblasted titanium dial. The power reserve is 55 hours, and it is water-resistant to 30 metres.
