Brad Pitt has been Hollywood’s favourite for decades. When it comes to his style, we have drooled over his ’90s looks that added an easy going flair but if you ask him about his style in 2021, he will say it is non-existent.
In an interview with Esquire, the actor revealed that his fashion sense is declining due to his age, and claims he has “no style” to speak of. “You get older, you get crankier, and comfort becomes more important. I think it’s as simple as that. If I have a style, it’s no style,” but he does appreciate a good monochrome look. “I like monochrome, without it being a uniform. I like the details in the stitching, the way it feels. If anything, that’s the only divining rod I have.” His style “is led by comfort,” he continued explaining he doesn’t want to look like a walking billboard. “I like the feel of a Lecia camera or the way a watch feels. I don’t want to look ostentatious, but if you come close, you notice. I like how the lining feels. It’s those details that are important to me. It’s too exhausting to follow trends. And I despise billboards; I just don’t want to be a billboard.”
Earlier this year, Pitt sported a new hairstyle at the at the 93rd Academy Awards. The Oscar-winner skipped the red carpet but showed up to present the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, which went to Yuh-Jung Youn for her role in Minari.
He dressed in a classic ensemble, a black tux and bow tie with some light accessories but his hair were the highlight of his look. He wore his golden locks in a teeny, tiny updo, which could either be a short ponytail or a mini low bun. After Pitt handed her the award, she said: “Mr. Brad Pitt—finally! Nice to meet you.” Pitt grinned and laughed, revealing to the audience that he has a…ponytail. This isn’t the first time that Pitt has worn his hair in ponytail. Back in the ’90s, he frequently sported the hair.
