Adidas x Gucci is almost here. Three months since we first saw the collaborative collection on the runway, the partnership has now officially been showcased in a campaign shot by Carlijn Jacobs.
Designed by creative director Alessandro Michele, the collection merges the emblems of the Italian house with those of the iconic sportswear brand.
Michele envisioned a series of images inspired by archival catalogues, and a cast of characters striking dynamic poses against brightly coloured backdrops, with sporty props, captured by Jacobs.
This collaborative collection makes way for hybrid of formalwear that sees leather heels, suede loafers, and silk scarves with sportswear elements. The same goes for bowling bags. They are crafted using Gucci’s premium leathers but are covered in the Trefoil logo. Then there’s the shellsuit-style offerings that combine bold colours with an even impactful GG-Trefoil monogram. In short, it gives brings in the ’70s and ’80s vibe and in the best way possible.
Keeping sustainability in mind, thecollection features multiple pieces crafted using future-conscious materials including polyester, cotton and viscose.
This Adidas x Gucci collection is expected to launch on June 7th, 2022.
