The red carpets are finally back in action after a long hiatus. Fully vaccinated people are now allowed to attend events. However, adherence to Covid-19 protocols is strictly maintained. Like other events, Emmys 2020 was an ‘indoor’ rendezvous where people attended the ceremony via video conferencing. Thanks to the vaccines, the 2021 Emmys saw A-listers coming out in full splendour.

The event took place on Sunday at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles and was viewed by millions of television lovers. The Crown was a bigger winner as the team swept away some of the major categories, including the award for the Outstanding Drama Series. Ted Lasso reigned supreme in the comedy department, whereas RuPaul made Emmy history by becoming the most-awarded person of colour in the Emmy Awards history with 11 honours.

Since this event saw a host of celebrities at their stylish best, here’s a round-up of the best-dressed men at the 2021 Emmys.

All the drama: Billy Porter looked flamboyant in a custom Ashi Couture look. Porter is known for his avant-garde looks and the Emmys 2021 were no exception. His maximalist outlook towards fashion is always appreciated as his dramatic pleated sleeves and Lorraine Schwartz jewels were a big hit on the red carpet.

A Velvet Tux: Big winner of the night, Jason Sudeikis, wore a royal blue velvet Tom Ford suit, making a sartorial choice. It wasn’t a mundane tuxedo, the velvet — paired with a perfect shade of blue — instantly elevated the look and made him look richer and regal.

Monochrome Mood: Daniel Levy gave us major fashion goals in his Valentino suit. Bringing back our favourite 90s trend, Levy’s layered wrap blazer, dress shirt, and pants were all in the same shade of blue, making him a monochromatic delight.

Midnight Dreams: Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page was resplendent in his ‘Made to Measure’ Giorgio Armani suit. There’s no doubt that Page can make any outfit look good, however, this midnight blue silk jacquard double-breasted jacket with a shawl collar, paired with evening trousers and a shirt further amplified his stately personality.

Classic Chocolate: Jonathan Groff looked sharp in a brown Paul Smith suit. His desert toned tux, paired with a black shirt and matching tie, made for a perfect choice on the red carpet.

A Splash Of Blue: The host of the night, Cedric the entertainer, looked cheerful in a bright blue suit by Richfresh. His bright teal suit paired with a John Hardy ring instantly lit up the carpet, grabbing all the eyeballs.

Shine On: One of our favourite looks of the night was Leslie Odom Jr. in Dolce & Gabbana. The actor, who can single-handedly be credited for elevating menswear this year; making Awards Season 2021 the most enjoyable for men’s fashion that we’ve witnessed, opted to wear a look from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2021 Alta Sartoria collection. He sparkled like a star, making a dashing appearance on the Emmys carpet.
