It seems a devoted following is responsible for Massimo Dutti’s third store in India. The Spanish brand opened its first flagship store in Mumbai at Palladium this week. Sprawling over more than 7500 sq. ft., the Mumbai space will have everything from menswear to womenswear, including footwear and accessories. As a bonus, the city’s most loyal Dutti enthusiasts will also have access to the brand’s Limited Edition collection.
The first floor of this Massimo Dutti store is a massive space dedicated entirely to menswear. Leather jackets, blazers, Cashmere clothing and more from the international name are accessible here, including exclusive pieces, as well.
Having launched its first store in the country in 2016, the brand is fast gaining attention due to its carefully curated collections for all countries it’s present in, including India. So, what’s available in the Indian stores might not be on the racks at the London outpost. That’s one, access to the latest trends and two, a collection that can’t be found anywhere else.
The Massimo Dutti stores exude a sense of exclusivity and the new store image is based on a progressive evolution of the boutique concept. Walnut wood, brass, leather and dark marble are the dominant materials in the new architectural design that blends modern lines and classic details, which is the signature look of the brand.
Massimo Dutti was founded in 1985 as a men’s fashion brand and was acquired by Inditex Group (houses brands like Zara, Bershka, and more) in 1991 . Later on in 1995, the brand launched its first women’s collection, offering a range of styles from urban, casual to timeless sophistication. In 2003, the company launched a children’s line under the brand name Boys & Girls. This collection is gradually being introduced in stores in several countries.
Massimo Dutti has three stores located between New Delhi, Noida and now Mumbai. Currently there are more than 780 stores in 73 countries.
