In the middle of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Missoni went ahead to strengthen its managerial positions by appointing a new CEO.

According to FashionUnited, the Italian brand has appointed Livio Prioli as their new CEO. Prioli has been a part of Giorgio Armani for a long time where he held the positions general manager and managing director. Along with this, he also held the roles of president and CEO of GA Retail Srl and GA Operations SpA, as well as of president of the Giorgio Armani owned Olimpia Basket Milano team. Last year, he exited from all of his roles from Armani.

Missoni chairman and creative director Angela Missoni said in a statement to WWD: “I am sure that Livio Proli, with his talent and wealth of experience, will be able to enhance Missoni’s potential and steer its team with the right leadership, ensuring the necessary evolution in the present challenging context. I look forward to starting our collaboration and to facing up together to our future ambitious projects.”

With Italy now lifting lockdown restrictions, the luxury label’s headquarters and production plant have reopened. Prior to the global coronavirus lockdowns, the label was also focused on growing its store count.
