While it is not easy to compete with the brilliance that is Milan Men’s Fashion Week, a lot of celebrities still attempted to compete. In fact, some of the best moments on the catwalk were when icons like Naomi Campbell, Monica Bellucci and supermodels Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid strutted their stuff on the ramp. Dolce and Gabbana had social media influencers like Nash Grier and Cameron Dallas walking for them while Zegna’s show was attended by the likes of Dev Patel and Victor Ma. Overall, it is evident that the collections were aimed at the Millennials with the fashion houses focusing heavily on streetwear and clothing that works great for the workspace and the casual outings. Colleen Barry, writing for the Associated Press, states that focusing on office looks and streetwear using the same basic building blocks allows designers to cut across generations, geographies and income levels. We’ll just have to wait and see if it effectively does that.
