Giorgio Armani has announced few changes to its show’s schedule as the ongoing coronavirus continues to disrupt the international fashion week calendar.

The Italian label will now be showing its Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani men’s and women’s collections in September 2020 in Milan. Additionally, the Armani Privé runway show will be postponed until January 2021 and would not be held in Paris, but will instead be displayed at the label’s headquarters in Via Borgonuovo at Palazzo Orsini. The designer said to WWD, that the collection will be seasonless and feature garments for winter as well as lighter summer pieces.

Last month, French fashion house Saint Laurent announced it would not be taking part in any fashion week calendar for the rest of the year, most notably missing out on Paris Fashion Week.

In a statement, the luxury label stated: “Conscious of the current circumstances and its waves of radical change, Saint Laurent has decided to take control of its pace and reshape its schedule. Now more than ever, the brand will lead its own rhythm, legitimating the value of time and connecting with people globally by getting closer to them in their own space and lives.”
