10 million album sales, 6 platinum records, 5 Grammys, and a successful career later, Weird Al Yankovic is finally getting his biopic. And what makes the project even more exciting is Daniel Radcliffe’s association with it. As the Harry Potter star shed his serious image for this one, Radcliffe’s fans are in for a great surprise. Needless to say, the actor is nailing the Grammy winner’s on-screen portrayal in the first trailer of Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, and fans can’t wait for more!
The trailer introduces us to a curly-haired musician, who aspires to make music that travels the world. Joining him is Rachel Wood as Madonna, who according to Yankovic’s mentor (Dr Demento) has a bad influence on him. Rainn Wilson will be seen taking up this role. The trailer offers a fresh story, with Radcliffe looking quite interesting in the titular role. What adds an extra punch to the trailer are the funny scenes between Radcliffe and the others. Fans enjoyed every minute of the new clip and expressed the same on Twitter.
