We finally have the first teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated Space Force. Spoiler alert, it is absolutely hilarious.

The Office fans can rejoice, because this first trailer clearly shows us the similarities between Michael Scott and General Mark R. Naird. The Office writer Greg Daniels returns to the writing table for Space Force and it is evident he’s not lost his flair for comedy.

After months of blind speculation, the trailer finally gives viewers a look at how the direction this new show will go in.

The show is based on President Donald Trump’s newest branch of the military. Four-star general Mark R. Naird, played by Carell, has been assigned to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Now Naird and his team of scientists and astronauts will need to do their best to get Americans back on the moon.

Carell is also the co-creator of the series along with Greg Daniels. The series also stars John Malkovich, Friends alum Lisa Kudrow and Jimmy O. Yang of Silicon Valley.

Space Force is set to release on May 31, 2020, exclusively on Netflix.
