Seriously, the traditional Indian dance forms need a lot more appreciation and this Kathak Duo’s (Kumar Sharma and Svetlana Tulasi) mesmerizing performance definitely makes us go weak in the knees. Before we begin to say more, let’s take a look at the performance. 

Wasn’t it absolutely breathtaking? The co-ordination, the moves, the expressions and the energy – everything was on point. The video reached Adnan Sami and the singer too was very proud of the effort.

This is not the first time we’re seeing a Kathak version of a popular Hindi song. Check this one performed on Badri Ki Dulhania.

We really think that more artists should do such fusions, so as to make sure that the art forms get appreciated by young children who in turn will get inspired to learn and carry forward the tradition.

And yes, how can we forget their praiseworthy performance in Russia’s Got Talent. 

Kumar Sharma has really made a name for himself internationally as well, with ensemble versions of Shape Of You and Despacito. 

On her part, Svetlana Tulsi has also given some breathtaking solo performances in shows across the world. Let’s see two such performances – Mere Dholna and Mohe Rang Do Laal.

Last, but not the least, let’s take a look at this mashup performance by Svetlana during the India Dance Fest 2017.

We can’t wait for more collaborations from both the artists, and if we’re lucky, we’d even like to see them live.
