Tom Holland Shocked To Learn About Spider-Man's BO Collection
Tom Holland Cannot Believe That ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Is ‘$20 Million Away’ From Surpassing ‘Avatar’s Box Office Record

His reaction to finding out that Spiderman: No Way Home is on track to beat Avatar’s box office record is the best thing you’ll see today.

Spider-Man: No Way Home starring Tom Holland is still running successfully in theatres even after a month of its release. While the superhero film that brought veteran villains and the two senior Spideys back on screen is minting money at the box office, its lead star is unaware of the wild box office collection of the Marvel film.

Holland was clueless about just how big the movie has turned out to be. NWH has proven to be an unparalleled success, and it is doubly impressive considering that the film was released during a global pandemic. The Jon Watts directorial has grossed $1.74 billion globally, and $737.84 million domestically in North America.

Considering that Holland swiftly moved from promoting NWH to promoting Uncharted, he might have been not focused on how well the film was doing at the box office. During an interview, he was seen talking about how he does not know what his future at Marvel looks like after NWH, when he was told that the film is doing wonders.

He was informed that the film is approaching the domestic gross of James Cameron’s Avatar. After a few minutes of dumbfounded silence, his lips parted and with his eyes wide open, Holland said, “For real?” and then mouthed a breathy “Holy s**t” to the camera.

For the unversed, No Way Home is only behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936.66 million), Avengers: Endgame ($858.37 million) and Avatar ($760.5 million). This makes it just ’20 million away’ from breaking the record. Globally speaking, the Marvel film is the sixth biggest film ever behind Avatar ($2.84 billion), Avengers: Endgame ($2.79 billion), Titanic ($2.20 billion), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06 billion), and Avengers: Infinity War ($2.04 billion).
